Actor and director Satish Kaushik have passed away. Early on Thursday morning, he reportedly suffered a heart attack. He was 66.

Satish Kaushik passed away at a hospital in Gurugram. As per multiple reports, his body will be brought to Mumbai after the postmortem. The actor reportedly had a heart attack in a car around one a.m. while he was on his way to visit someone in Gurugram.

The heartbreaking news of Satish Kaushik’s passing was shared by actor Anupam Kher who posted a heartfelt tribute.

The actor wrote, “I know that death is the ultimate truth but never in my dreams I thought that I would have to write that about my best friend Satish Kaushik. A sudden full stop to 45 years of friendship. Life will never be the same without you Satish! Om Shanti.”

Satish Kaushik is best known for directing films like Salman Khan starrer Tere Naam and Kareena Kapoor starrer Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai.

He is survived by his wife and daughter.
