Simple Garlic Chicken Soup Recipe:-

This is a traditional soup that originated in China. It is usually made with chicken and vegetables but can also be made with other meats.

The soup base is typically made from water, ginger, scallion, soy sauce, and salt. To thicken the soup, other ingredients can also include garlic, green onions, rice wine or sherry vinegar, and cornstarch. In winter, this soup is best to cure a cold and keeps you safe from nausea and flu.

  • 1 ½ lb cooked – chicken thighs or breasts cubed
  • 2 tablespoons – of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons – of butter
  • 1 medium – onion thinly sliced
  • 12 cloves – garlic peeled
  • ½ teaspoon – of dried thyme
  • 4 cups – of chicken stock
  • 20 cloves – of garlic unpeeled
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup – of whipping cream


  1. Using a shallow baking dish, place unpeeled garlic cloves in the oven at 350F. Salt and pepper, olive oil, and toss to coat.
  2. The garlic should be roasted until golden brown, about 35 minutes.
  3. Put the garlic in a small bowl, cool, and squeeze it out with your fingers.
  4. Butter should be melted in a large pan over medium heat. Once the onions are translucent, add them to the pan and cook for another six minutes.
  5. Garlic cloves, roasted garlic, and thyme should be added 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
  6. Bring to a simmer with chicken stock. It should take 20 minutes to cook.
  7. Blend or use an immersion blender to puree. Season with salt and pepper, and add whipping cream and cooked chicken.
  8. Make sure the food is warm through and served.
